Today's Song

A new day begins... Worship flows from my heart. A new song arises from the depths of my soul.  What will it sound like?  Will it be a happy, melodic song with a rhythm that you can't help but move your body to? Or will it be so deep, so dramatic, that it moves the depths of your soul and changes you from within? Only today will tell the nature of my song.

Where does the song begin?  Is it the moment I awake?  No, I believe it is formed in the night.  Though I sleep, my heart is awake, and through the night as soul and heart are alive, a song is formed in the fire.  It emerges as I open my mouth and release it.  Often, it's like a well trained race horse fighting against the gate at the beginning of the race.  Other times, it's like a deep, deep well must be drilled before the song flows slowly from the depths of who I am.  This is the nature of a song each day.  What is your song?  What sound will come from your lips that will forever change the world?

Search the depths of your heart for
Hope, which gives energy
Faith, which sustains
Love, which never ever fails
The dream is growing.

The fullness of what could be
The greatness of what should be
The nearness of what is
